All customers who are billed on CFB have previously
been billed on the ORS (OneBill) consolidated billing system.
These customers have been migrated from ORS to CFB over the past
few years to build up the existing CFB customer base.
Direct Conversion Server (DCS) assists in the conversion of CSS customers to CFB. The main task of the
Direct Conversion Server is to build up a candidate consolidated billing hierarchy for the CSS customer and,
once a candidate hierarchy has been agreed upon, capture all the necessary CFB product data required for the
conversion of this customer onto CFB.
DCS contacts Customer Data Maintenance Centre (CDMC) application in glasgow, UK for the overnight feed
of the CSS customers, processes the data and send to CFB using the cron jobs and Connect : Direct of Solaris.
Also it contacts two Robot PCs (Vet Robot and Sync Robot) for the vetting process and synchronisation process
of the customers.
DCS contacts CAPSCAN for the address match, a third party software.
My Job is to take a complete transition from Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK and maintain
the product in Cardiff, Wales, UK. I became the first point of contact for DCS and responsible
for any problem in the production, and implementing new requirements.
